Learning Beyond the Classroom

AE Exposure Visit | Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh

Building an entrepreneur requires more than classroom training. Exposure to functioning enterprises, technologies and institutions allows new AEs to understand how knowledge can translate into viable services and businesses.

As part of a 15-day residential AE training program under the DCM Shriram Foundation-supported initiative, Agri-Entrepreneurs visited KVK Sitapur and OZONE FPO.

The exposure covered:

  • Integrated farming systems
  • Livestock and poultry management
  • Mushroom cultivation
  • Organic farming and vermicomposting
  • Protected cultivation
  • Seed processing
  • Value-addition technologies

Such field-based learning helps AEs broaden their technical understanding, identify new enterprise opportunities, and strengthen their ability to offer relevant solutions to farmers.

The larger objective is to develop AEs not simply as service providers, but as knowledgeable for rural entrepreneurs capable of connecting farmers with technologies, markets, and livelihood opportunities.
