Strengthening Cluster-Based Livelihoods in Madhya Pradesh
June witnessed accelerated on-ground implementation under the CDP-MP initiative across sericulture, Ashwagandha, and oilseed clusters. Through a mix of farmer training, AE engagement, market linkage efforts, and convergence with government schemes, the project made measurable progress in laying the foundation for scalable rural income generation.





Key Highlights
- Agri-Entrepreneur Training: Training of 27 AEs is underway; 1 new AE selected in Vidisha.
- Farmer Capacity Building:
- 67 farmer meetings conducted, engaging 1,553 farmers across themes such as sericulture, Ashwagandha, and mustard.
- AEs independently conducted 83 training meetings, reaching 1,874 participants.
- Market Linkages: Enabled sales of 87.96 MT of mustard and Ashwagandha, generating ₹53.4 lakh in income for 44 farmers.
- Farmer Registration:
- 87 farmers registered for mulberry plantation in Dindori and Mandla.
- 50 and 20 farmers selected for oilseed and Ashwagandha clusters, respectively.
- Convergence & Subsidy Access:
- Subsidies disbursed: 3 farmers received 1st installment; 3 received 2nd.
- 4 farmers began preparing rearing houses for cocoon production.
- Applications submitted for 8 units across sericulture, Ashwagandha, and oilseeds.
